Culverts and Drainage

There are a few different types of pipe that are used for culverts. Culverts are used to help the flow of drainage. We always assure that our pipes are aligned by using surveying and leveling instruments like a laser level. Back-filling the culverts must be done carefully and compacted thoroughly.

Reinforced Concrete Pipe (RCP) Installations

Reinforced concrete pipes, or RCPs, are used in storm sewer systems, water sewer systems, and ditches. The installation of these pipes is challenging because they are heavy and require heavy equipment to move and place them. Concrete pipes have a life span of 100+ years.

Plastic culverts come in 20 foot long sections and range from 6 to 36 inches in diameter. Plastic pipes have a life span of 50-70 years.

Galvanized Pipe

Metal culverts are also ideal for drainage systems, driveways and access roads. With a wide variety of diameters and lengths,  galvanized pipe can be used for projects ranging from storm sewers and culverts to infiltration systems. Galvanized pipes have a life span of 50+ years.
